| | Chloe's Dol (first b-day) is fast approaching and we finally finished and sent out all the invites. The color scheme we chose was pink and brown. The card design on the computer to paper. What it looked like all assembled. And in the envelopes. So we finished and asked my mom how many she needed to send out to her friends. She told me Korean people didn't need invitations and that it was all done by word of mouth... jeez~ talk about having etiquette. What's wrong with Koreans and crashing parties? I have just a couple of more projects to do before we're ready to leave for NY. I want to make a balloon banner that I saw on Martha Stewart's website (that lady is a freakin' genius!) And also have some pictures to display at the party. I think that's all... right? RIGHT?!?!?! I feel like I'm forgetting something... I do that alot these days by the way. I'll think of something to do or say, get distracted, and BOOM! It's gone. I just stand there and go "I wanted to do/say something..." and drool. No, I don't really drool but I should've. I don't know what's wrong with me. Do all new mommies do this?
OH! BREAKING NEWS~~~~~ Chloe took like 5 step by herself! It was the funniest, most exciting moment EVER! She was kind of surprised herself I think because she had this look of awe. But it was GREAT! I can't wait for her to walk... imagine all the pretty shoes I can get for her! ^^
On a more somber note: We were at Walgreens and Chloe was in those shopping carts and she had an accident. Chloe doesn't sit still in those things and she likes to stand and get into everything. Well today at Walgreens was no different and she was standing up and I was telling her to sit and trying to keep her down. For one split second I was looking elsewhere and BAM! Chloe fell head first into the cart. It was horrible. For a second she was quiet then she made this really awful cry that just broke me. I picked her up and checked to see if she was ok. She had a little scratch on her forehead but nothing too severe. She cried for 2 minutes and she was back to herself. I don't know if she's a trooper or if she's tolerant to pain, but she never goes more than a couple of minutes of crying. Either way, if there's a way that I could rid her of all the accident to come I would do anything. Someone told me of this balm from Burt's Bee's that you put on for bumps and bruises, and that it's perfect for little boo boos. I looked everywhere and finally found it at Safeway. I tried it a couple of times on Chloe and I think it really works. If you're a mommy with a little one, you should definitely have this on hand.
Ok. it's late, I'm sleepy. Good night! |
