*sigh*

So Chloe has a nose and throat infection. Poor thing. We took her to a new pediatrician and he prescribed antibiotics for 10 days. This is the first time that I'm giving her any kind of medicine, other than infant tylenol and mortin. Our previous pediatrician never prescribed anything to her, nor was she ever diagnosed with an infection... anyways her cough went away and her runny nose is getting better. Because Chloe was sick, we stayed home so she could recuperate. Boy was I bored... I'm not a stay at home type. I feel like I should be out and about bustling with people... But now with the whole swine flu scare Soony is especially adamant on having us stay home. Help!

Belated Update...

Man, it's so hard to blog these days. I don't know how some mommies manage to blog daily. I'll start to put something up, then Chloe will know this and wake up from her nap... *sigh* She's been having a runny nose/cough for the past week now. She was almost over it, but we took her to the park and it was windy and I think that brought back her cold. She doesn't have a fever, but I think her throat is hoarse because she tries to swallow alot when she's sleeping and she'll wake up like 10 times during the night all cranky and crying. And a couple of times she coughed so much that she threw up. Poor baby... And during all this, Soony is snoring. Thanks.
Chloe is really growing up now, and it's so sad. It seems like just yesterday she was this little tiny baby, now she's running around and reeking havoc! She's such a little prankster^^ She'll pretend to give something to you and she'll take it away and laugh her head off. She also knows when she does something wrong. When I look at her to tell her no, she'll look up with me with this sweet little smile... ahy-yay-yay~

She tries to "read" her books by herself

Chloe is the messiest eater in the universe...

She closed the door to the office

Chloe's outfit for church. She insisted on wearing my necklace.

I think all kids try to fit themselves into tiny things... no?

Day at the park

This robe is for 0-6 months I think, but she never got to wear it so...

Made this cupcake stand for a babyshower. I tried to follow her  steps, but couldn't find a cake dummy so I used a tin can and cut out a cardboard box for the circle.

Mom's birthday cake (greentea cake)

Chloe sleeps like a wild woman.

Tiger was her victim for the day...

To Chloe:

Dear Chloe,
You probably had the shittiest day yesterday.
We woke you up at 5 in the morning and dragged you to church.
We thought it was a good idea to pray for you, for your health and all.
Little did you know that you would have 2nd degree burn on your left hand
from the soup that they gave us at church. You were in so much pain and I couldn't do anything to stop it.
We should've watched you better. We shouldn't have let you walk around.
We should've had you in our arms and never let you out of our sight.
I'm so sorry that you had to go through that pain.
I'm sorry that you had to wait in the ER for 5 hours without getting any help except for some pain killers.
I'm sorry that the people in the ER are fucking idiots
and they had to wait to get in touch with a burn specialist
who was in the middle of some useless bullshit to advise what to do with you.
I'm sorry that all I could do to alleviate the pain was to submerge your tiny little hand in cold water.
I'm sorry that we had to drive to another hospital for them to help you.
I'm sorry that they brutally popped your puss and peeled your flesh while you shivered from the pain.
I'm so sorry.
In spit all that you went through, you were still smiling for us and doing your ahjuma dance that we love so much.
You were so brave and patient.
I am a terrible, horrible mother.
I probably don't deserve to have you as my daughter.
When you get older and I catch you smoking or something, I'll let it go because everyone goes through that stage... (just as long as it's not drugs and unprotected sex...)
Thank you for being such a good girl and being so brave. Thank you.
I love you so much and I promise I will do everything to never ever let anything hurt you again.

Love you forever and ever,
Your sorry-excuse-for-a-mother

Making the Invitation

Chloe's Dol (first b-day) is fast approaching and we finally finished and sent out all the invites.

The color  scheme we chose was pink and brown.

The card design on the computer to paper.

What it looked like all assembled.

And in the envelopes.

So we finished and asked my mom how many she needed to send out to her friends. She told me Korean people didn't need invitations and that it was all done by word of mouth... jeez~ talk about having etiquette. What's wrong with Koreans and crashing parties?

I have just a couple of more projects to do before we're ready to leave for NY. I want to make a balloon banner that I saw on Martha Stewart's website (that lady is a freakin' genius!) And also have some pictures to display at the party. I think that's all... right? RIGHT?!?!?! I feel like I'm forgetting something... I do that alot these days by the way. I'll think of something to do or say, get distracted, and BOOM! It's gone. I just stand there and go "I wanted to do/say something..." and drool. No, I don't really drool but I should've. I don't know what's wrong with me. Do all new mommies do this?

OH! BREAKING NEWS~~~~~
Chloe took like 5 step by herself! It was the funniest, most exciting moment EVER! She was kind of surprised herself I think because she had this look of awe. But it was GREAT! I can't wait for her to walk... imagine all the pretty shoes I can get for her! ^^

On a more somber note:
We were at Walgreens and Chloe was in those shopping carts and she had an accident. Chloe doesn't sit still in those things and she likes to stand and get into everything. Well today at Walgreens was no different and she was standing up and I was telling her to sit and trying to keep her down. For one split second I was looking elsewhere and BAM! Chloe fell head first into the cart. It was horrible. For a second she was quiet then she made this really awful cry that just broke me. I picked her up and checked to see if she was ok. She had a little scratch on her forehead but nothing too severe. She cried for 2 minutes and she was back to herself. I don't know if she's a trooper or if she's tolerant to pain, but she never goes more than a couple of minutes of crying. Either way, if there's a way that I could rid her of all the accident to come I would do anything. Someone told me of this balm from Burt's Bee's that you put on for bumps and bruises, and that it's perfect for little boo boos. I looked everywhere and finally found it at Safeway. I tried it a couple of times on Chloe and I think it really works. If you're a mommy with a little one, you should definitely have this on hand.

Ok. it's late, I'm sleepy. Good night!

Gosh, I haven't updated in a long time. I swear, the day goes by so fast. Sometimes I don't even have time to eat...

The Ggang pae (gangsta... we call her that because she's been beating us up lately! She pinches and pulls hair and it HURTS! We tell her to stop but she laughs like we're joking... crazy) has learned so much! She uses a chair to push herself around the room, she goes up the stair and down the stair (with our supervision), she can do "give me" with a hand gesture and pretty much express how she's feeling. She already has us playing in her hands... *sigh* haha She's also gotten a good number of teeth going on in her mouth. 4 on the bottom and 3 on top. If you put your finger in her mouth she'll bite your finger off, it's that strong. Oh and she's been very boisterous too. She screams like a maniac and makes weird animal noises... silly girl.

Chloe's dol is coming up and we're panicking because we haven't really gotten anything ready yet except the location. The restaurant said they would take care of everything but I'd like to give some personal touches too. Plus I have to get some cute outfits together for her studio pictures...

Here's a picture of ggang pae taking a bath^^ Silly rabbit~
